Most YouTube lectures, webinars, and journal articles on the management of Covid-19 have focused on in-hospital treatment. Dr. Tushar Shah’s lecture series hosted via PIE has focused on the oft-neglected area of outpatient management of Covid-19. These lectures have discouraged HCQ use, antibiotic use, and outpatient tests of IL-6 and ferritin. They have stressed on home pulse oximetry, early detection of hypoxia and hence need for hospitalization, use and abuse of favipiravir and steroids.
Several thousand doctors have not only hailed this series of talks as those from a sane voice, they have also used the guidelines to help tens of thousands of patients.
