Medicine And Games by Platform for Intelligent Edutainment
Platform for Intelligent Edutainment (PIE) invites applications for MAGPIE, a novel three-day off-site workshop for teaching internal medicine.
The first edition happens on 17, 18 & 19 Feb 2017 at Della Enclave, a bungalow complex in Khandala.
This particular edition is open only to girls who are 3rd MBBS students or interns.
The second edition for boys who are interns or in 3rd MBBS will be on 17, 18, & 19 March 2017.
The cost of the course is Rs. 12,000/- per person. This includes travel, stay, all meals, study material & medical textbooks. And of course the training!
Do note that this workshop is NOT geared towards examinations. And note too that MAGPIE is an acronym for Medicine And Games by PIE. Several educational activities will be conducted through games. The principal teachers will be Dr Tushar Shah (about 18 hours) and Dr Tushar Maniar (about 4 hours). The game angle will make the 22 hour workshop seem short! Or so we hope.
